Going forward my weeks will look quite similar (only 3 weeks in Nov while in Poland will be bit different).

Monday - Volleyball, Tue-rest (or short recovery run), Wed - run (5-7km), Thu - intervals (or just run), Fri- rest, Sat and Sunday long runs.

This week was bit difficult as my knee start hurt on the inside. After running Phoenix Trail Run (18km with 1100m of elevation), I went to clinic (ultra sonograph and Xray) and I been told it is bursitis. I got some physio sessions and meds for inflammation + swelling. I been told to exercise still just take it easy for a week.

The Sunday Phoenix Run was quite fun, very small event. On 18km route we had only 28 runners and very quickly every one spread out. There were small problems with marking of the route and many ppl (including me) got lost. Route was quite complicated and having navigation helped a lot. Saying that part I got lost.... I stop checking my watch as I believed the guy in front of me know where to go:). During whole run I did not have issues with my knee, however woke up on Monday with dull pain and decided to visit my usual clinic here in Taipei.

I still played volleyball on Monday and took rest on Tue and Wed... However on Thu I struggled to sit in one place and after getting my knee brace (advice from doctor) I went for a run on 7km and Friday morning quick 4km before work.

Saturday after visiting PT, I decided to try backyard format. However it start getting hot (30C) and managed to complete only 2 loops, plus something (16km in total). I learnt already something:

  1. fuel and hydration is super important.... I need to focus on having enough of both. This Saturday I did not....

  2. I had 10 min break before starting next loop. I found it is long... manage to have drink, eat and have toilet break with still 7 min to spare. Starting again it is quite difficult and need to figure out how to keep my legs ready to run next loop.

I will be practicing similar format once back from Poland in December.

Overall this week completed 46km (and 1200m elevation) plus one volleyball session.

Coming weekend flying out but as soon I land will probably go for a run in cold Polish, November weather:)
