In 2025, I was all about those longer distances and trail running, so I only hit up one road race—a 25km event in Xiaoliuqiu (with some crazy aid stations....). I also managed to fit in some diving to hang out with the sea turtles :)

Later in the year, in June and September, I jumped into two UTMB races. One was in Japan (58km with 2400m+ elevation), and the other in Malaysia (55km with 2000m+ elevation). Between these two "by UTMB" races, Malaysia was definitely the standout—great vibe and super well-organized. In between, I squeezed in a little trail race back in Poland, just a half marathon with 400m+ elevation. It was a nice, small, local event :)

The highlight of my year was definitely the Formosa Trail. I pushed myself to tackle the 75km course with 4400m of elevation. It was challenging, but I did it, and it felt incredible!

My main aim was to dodge a DNF and keep injuries at bay, and I pretty much pulled it off. Sure, there were the usual little aches and pains, but nothing big :) All in all, it was an awesome year, and I'm going into the OCC lottery with 6 UTMB stones (results are out... no luck... maybe I'll get in by 2027...)

Next year, I've just got a 31km trail race lined up for February. The rest of the year is wide open—I'm considering a 100km race or maybe something around 70km. Let's see what 2026 has in store :)

Running stats for this year from my Garmin:

I ran 1600km and climbed over 40,000m in elevation! And that's just from running—no cycling or hiking included. It feels awesome, and I'm pumped for next year :)
